Verna Mae's Poboys, Seafood and More

Wife and I went for a lunch date and shared 5lbs of Crawfish. Perfect spice for the wife, I would have prefered a little more heat. What amazed us both was the size of the crawfish. The claws had as much meat as some of the smaller tails. Great experience and plan to go back

Had the Gumbo and fried bologna sandwich! Both were very good. Will have to go back sometime. Nice size place. I have to try the beignets.

This place is pricey for a place you have to go to a counter and order and get back up to get your food. Our bill was over $50 for 2 people. The food was good, not great and not bad. Their seafood gumbo had really good flavor but they asked if I wanted it out first and I said yes, but after our buzzer went of I had to ask for it. Then the meals we ordered were supposed to come with bread and I had to ask for that as well. The French Quarter on Highway 6 is a better value and they actually come to your table and take your order!

Food is okay. It is a little too salty for my taste. The boiled Crawfish was definitely too salty. Needs better sizes as well. The competition from 2 other players is better with similar pricing.

The food was fresh and really delicious. Especially the sauces. The owner specifically came out to greet us and ask us about our experience, she is a lovely woman. The waiter came and asked us multiple times if he catered to our needs. Recommend the fried shrimp po boy, completely reminded me of New Orleans cuisine
