good food cervios fail
I ordered 10 lb 5 lb brisket 5 lb of sausage the day before said I need it ready at 4 p.m. they had it ready with all the dressings good food everybody was happy I will be going back there will be my barbecue place
We tried the lemon pepper & hot wings at Sweet Sadie's. I was pleasantly surprised! The wings are really good and much better than they were under the old management and a new cook! I will be back to try the wings and catch the football games during the season. It is a great local spot to meet up with friends, eat and catch a game or watch "Scandal". They also have space to meet with clients, set up your computer and handle business.
We happened upon Sweet Sadie's one Sunday afternoon after visiting a church in the area. My wife and I noticed it quite easily as it is located in a small strip mall surrounded by much of nothing.
Like other reviewers we noticed how empty the place was despite the generous amount of seating. So, before making a commitment, we asked for a sampling. We received a plate with two ribs, a few slices of sausage, and a slice of brisket. After just one bite of the ribs I was sold.
The ribs had a mesquite flavor that told me someone took their time smoking this meat. The texture was tender, yet firm and not stringy at all. Evidence that the preparer understands how to barbecue. My daughter and I devoured the rest of the sampling but I think my wife got a small taste, too.
Ironically, after being blown away by the sample barbecue plate, we decided to order wings. They were a good size and very meaty. More importantly, they were not dried out like most chain wing stores and they weren't undercooked like in most dine in restaurants. They had a nice selection of flavors to choose from.
We may not be visiting that church again, but we will definitely return to Sweet Sadie's.
Some of the best brisket I have ever tasted. Slow smoked and sliced perfectly. Having cooked in a barbecue place, I know what is good. The sauce is great. The name put me off, since I like smokey more than sweet when it comes to barbecue. I finally tried this place and will be back.
