The menu is expansive and includes something for everyone. But it can be intimidating for a first time visitor. Lots of pastas, entrees, and sides to choose from, some with half and full portions. You can have a splendid meal, but it does take time to acquaint yourself with their offerings.
The brussel sprouts are a must-have, and the meatballs are incredible. I recommend pairing a half-portion of your preferred pasta with either a warm or cold small-plate for a perfectly sized meal.
Very good food, nice menu of all types of food to try. Not a lot of parking and tends to get busy very fast and they don’t take reservations so you might be waiting for 45mins to and hour for a table but once you’re finally gotten a table, the experience is pretty good and the food is great. I had the shrimp linguine and it was very tasty. My fave dish was the tortellini with Parmesan sauce, now that was awesome.
We have been searching for the place like this for a long time. Our standards of the food and restaurant atmosphere are pretty high so we have been surprisingly pleased with our visiting Giacomo’s today! If you are looking for a fast service and food, probably this place is not for you because they actually COOK their food. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere if you don’t have loud-talking people sitting next to you. The interior design is very simple but unique and cozy, and reminds us of real Italian (Sicilian) restaurants. The food is very delicious. Besides, they have many food options for vegetarians. The prices are surprisingly low comparing to what you get. There are not too many waiters to provide fast service, however they DO NOT annoy you with the repeatedly asked questions like “Is everything Ok?” or “Are you doing good here?” Hence, from the very first time it has become our favorite restaurant in Houston! There is definitely the soul and the heart that have been put into this business!
I've been here twice and it's been impressive on both occasions! The food is exquisite and the wine list is so extensive you're bound to find something you like. My husband and I went on valentines day, the service was great and there was no wait! Plus, 2 complimentary chocolate truffles to end with????
Food was very good. We ordered a variety of small dishes to share. All were well made. Portion size and pricing was reasonable. But the building itself and furniture leave a lot to be desired. Not very warm or inviting to me. Though, on the other hand, there was free and adequate parking.
