    Best plate of Huevos Rancheros a La Mejicana this side of the Rio Bravo. Frijoles (pureed, with queso fresco); deliciously seasoned and perfectly fried eggs with peppers & onions; hand-made corn torillas, and papas bravas, served by a friendly, bilingual staff. All for less than 7$. I have a hard time getting a decent cup of coffee at Mom & Pop Mexican places, but this was the exception that proves the rule. There's also a bar, a small stage for live music (I presume), fresh seafood, etc. If I lived in Houston, I'd here at least three days a week.
