Had A Great Experience... The Ox Tails and Rice were Remeberence of My Granny..RIP????????Will Definitely Be Eating There AGAIN When I'm passing thru Houston????????
I love this place. The people are always so nice and the food is always SO good! I think they have Jesus himself back there in those pots! ????
The way this food is seasoned- I've never tasted anything like it!!!
The oxtails- I haven't come across a restaurant that can compare!
They don't know the pricing of their own menus and it's outdated. Everything is very relaxed here. The people are very nice. It seems really dead here as well, not a lot of customers. Food was too salty in my opinion. Food is pre-made, and served "cafeteria" style.
The service was excellent. They were very friendly and helpful. The portion size was more than enough. I had the pork chops and rice which was good. The only thing I didn't care for was the side of yams. Also there were not a lot of choices. I do recommend trying this place.
Comfort. It's in the food, the building, the location, and the faces. Is it fast paced? Yes. Does it affect how much care goes into serving me? Hell no. It feels like stepping into a home where you were invited for dinner and the food is the poster child for southern cooking done right. No smoke and mirrors or fancy plating, just good food made by good hands.
