Great BBQ chain for a quick lunch. Service is very fast and the food is delicious!
Their ribs are massive and so tender. I was not as big of a fan of their brisket, but everything else was amazing. I tried the pulled pork, the pork ribs, and the sausage and all were great.
They have a few different types of BBQ sauces and self-serve bread and toppings.
This is my 1st time in Papas Barbecue. Once I got the lay of the land, it was great. I had the baby back ribs, potato salad and coleslaw topped it off with one of my favorite beers and enjoyed myself.
Next time I'm in Houston, I will be back because the ribs were delicious, potato salad and coleslaw as well.
Thank you Papas.
This must have been an off night for them. Meat was cold and all sauces were empty. One of the workers did go get some sauce for us. I'm also wondering if the condiments had been out for a while. Other times I've eaten at these restaurants all was fine, this time not so good.
Nice clean space. Not very big but just enough seating. The brisket is bomb. The service is good as well.
Prepping and cooking is a major component of brisket. However, the oft overlooked element is how it's cut when time to plate. A good meat cutter can make a not so great brisket better by not only listening to the customer's request but by recognizing what is quality and what is not.
This place had solid brisket and a magnificent meat cutter. I asked for moist and got exactly what I asked for and sliced just thin enough to be perfectly cut.
Good prices for downtown Houston, good food, the beef sausage was also really nice.
