The duck I ordered here was honestly the best food I remember having all year. I used to work for a fancy hotel restaurant that specialized in wild game, and their duck wasn't nearly as tender, flavorful, or crisp. The salad and sweet potato puré was a perfect pairing to bring out the sweetness and richness of the duck. I'm going back soon to make sure this place was as good as I remembered.
Cool space - their lighting concept was very fun. Great looking outdoor area.
The food (burger & fries, Edison fries) were tasty.
Cons:
•Service was slow
••There was a large roach that we watched crawl across the bar top. Notified the staff. They were unable to capture it.
I was pleasantly surprised with this spot. It was cold and we sat outside by the fire and had an excellent bottle of wine. I've heard they have great food as well, although I haven't tried it myself, yet.
Revising from 4 to 3. Last 2 times, out of menu items, kind of a big deal when menu is on small side. I want to LOVE this place, but needs more work on menu and ensuring doesn't run out of stuff.
Gimlet ...FROM EDISON & PATTON
"A local Houston restaurant for people to step out of their busy lives and into a place where they can just be themselves, share stories, ideas, and just have fun. The Edison is first and foremost a watering hole for business people and artists, foodies and craft beer connoisseurs alike. The food is inventive, lively, and affordable. The bar appeases the palette of craft beer and specialty drink lovers. The community and spirit of Edison will begin and spread through hospitality and graciousness."
