Food here is great. The cool rotating bar that allows you to pick your choices is a nice change of pace. Plus, you can order your own custom plates as well. The funny cartoons on the personalized screen above you are hilarious as well. It can get packed so plan ahead. Will definitely be back!
This is the best concept ever. I remember sushi bars with revolving conveyor lines on the west coast...now, they're available right here in Houston. Best sushi experience I've had since moving to Texas.
The restaurant is always clean and the wait short. It’s easy to spend more than you intend to because there’s so much delicious sushi floating by. Not to mention being able to custom order things that are zipped to your table by a separate converter belt. It’s always a treat to come here and the prices are reasonable for the quality of sushi. I recommend anything that has pickled in the name, and I don’t recommend the ramen.
I've been here 3 times. The food is good for the price (which is cheap, so don't expect the world), and the selection is great. The made to order selection is an especially good deal with things like salmon cheek being less than $4. Service is good, though the screen does most of the work.
My problem is the counters. They are always incredibly sticky. Disgustingly sticky. I didn't even want to set my phone down this time. Use some cleaner people! I couldn't find a manager to talk to though I didn't try too hard since I was there for an hour and didn't see anyone matching that description the whole time.
This is definitely on the floor manager, if they exist. Train your people, and stay on top of hygiene!
I have been coming to this Kura location since it’s inauguration. In my experience it is best to come during some of the busier times (Friday or Saturday), even though there can be a 30-40 minute wait sometimes, because you will definitely have more options in the revolving sushi bar. During the weekdays, it is to be expected that there are less options, but when I have recently noticed is that the weekday staff takes their time to clean different areas of the restaurant. It’s something I’ve seen in my last two visits, but that I’m hoping changes. Other than that, this location has a good selection of sushi. I love their new rolls and appetizers. I highly recommend trying the shrimp stuffed avocado and the volcano roll. Come with friends so you all can shoot for eating 15 plates and earn a prize!
I would also like to add that I like how all of the plates on the revolving belt are the same price. This makes it much easier and takes the guessing game out of it that you would have at other revolving sushi bars.
Overall, highly recommended!!
