Mencius Gourmet Hunan

Food is always good, and portions are large enough for leftovers to-go. Only problem : need to change the menu. My family has been going there since they opened almost 45yrs ago.

Came here regularly as a child, recently came to Kingwood for a visit. Same good food and same customer service. He remembered my mom from her last visit about 2 years.

Fresh and yummy taste!

Honestly, this place has the best fried rice I've ever had. Everything I've had here has been absolutely scrumptious. The waiting staff is always on hand and I've never felt like I've been waiting around for too long. Their hot sake is also the perfect end to a delicious meal.

We ate three different dishes: pan fried noodles with chicken, beef shrimp and vegetables; mushrooms and snow peas; beef and broccoli. All accompanied by steam rice. Egg drop soup was excellent and no as artificial coloring. Service was great and food was freshly prepared.

Food and service were excellent as always. Been going to this restaurant since I was a child and I bring my own daughter when she is home from college. Staff is always attentive and know us by name.
