Nee Hao Restaurant

First of all, I LOVE Asian food. I could eat it daily, seriously. I'm giving this place four stars based on a few things. We read the great reviews and decided to try it. The first thing we noticed is that they didn't put a lot of effort into the atmosphere, here. It's a small, hole-in- the-wall, type place. No problem, some of my favorite places are like this. So long as the food is good, I'm happy. The good: prices are reasonable (about $8 per plate). Portions are HUGE! easily two to three times more than other places. Service is fast and friendly. The food is pretty good! LOVED their hot sauce!! The bad: atmosphere could be better; the food came out quickly. Not that that's an issue, but it came out almost instantly. Made me wonder how fresh it was. We had fried rice, garlic chicken, and hot and sour soup. We didn't care for the soup. It was way too salty, in my opinion. The fried rice was good and it was a mountain of food. The garlic chicken was good, but not amazing. They put a ton of the sauce. So much that it was running all over the plate and table. It was soggy. The rice that came with it was "turkey and ham" rice. It was sweet. I liked it. Overall, I'd come back to try it again. Is it the BEST Chinese food, ever, as some people reviewed it? No. Good food and reasonably priced? Yes. Try it and see. :)

Shabby-looking place, but the food produced is superb and served in HUGE portions. You can call ahead for takeout, but I ordered in person during peak time, still my takeout order was ready in just seven minutes! BEST Chinese cuisine in taste and value for hundreds of miles around! ENJOY!!!

This place's serving is huge! In fact, for any of the rice/fried rice dishes, it would take me both lunch and dinner time to finish. This is American Chinese food. Recommend if you have a huge appetite.

This place is comfy, staff is very nice, place is clean and the food is beyond A+ quality. I would and have recommended this place. The best Chinese food I have ever put in my mouth!!! Prices are very affordable and you are served enough food to make 3 meals. Love it!!!! Awesome ????

Nice hole in the wall spot for fresh Chinese. Staff is always nice and part of the community the way they interact with everyone. Some of the best tasting Chinese food in North Houston and especially the most bang for your buck you'll get
