Delicious home style meals. Started out with guava (guayaba) and mango juices. On to camarones enchilados (nothing related to enchiladas), good sized shrimp in a savory sauce. Came with 2 sides: arroz (one of the 3 types of rice, mixed with black beans) and tostones (smashed green plantain, fried). Flan for desert, obviously home made.
Absolutely Delicious!!! Must try it out! Great prices as well. And if your into dancing, it turns into a Bar after 10. Love this place!
A genuine Cuban sandwich! First one I've found in Houston. We also tried croquetas, tostones rellenos, and the Ropa Vieja entree with congrí and yuca al mojo. Everything tasted great. Also had the guanabana juice. Only drawback is they don't serve any alcoholic drinks, no beer, wine, nothing. That's a bummer and it's odd because the decor seems like a lounge. Go figure. But we'll be back for the food.
I had no clue what the heck it was I was ordering so I just asked what was good. I was recommended ropa vieja so I got that and it was good! The sides I ordered were yucca con mojo and arroz congris, which is rice mixed with black beans. A little dry but not bad when mixed with the soupier ropa vieja beef I ordered The food here is very fresh and textures are nice. The waitress was patient with my nonexistent understanding of Cuban cuisine. Try the yucca. It is great with the onions. It tastes similar to potatoes if you have never had it before, just as I hadn’t. Prices are fair and the food is very filling, even for a bigger guy like me. I had a hard time finishing it.
Delicious Cuban food with very prompt and friendly service. I'll be back for sure!
