Great food and service. The owners are very nice people.
Love the staff. Just wish the food was more consistent. A dish can be really good today and very so so the next time.
It was okay! I had grilled cob fish, and a spinach salad with honey mustard. Paid $8.95 for 2 peices of fish. $2.00 for the salad. Everything tasted good and fresh. It was not busy at all during the late afternoon when I visited. All of the different choices of meats and vegetables looked appealing for the most part. There were also a lot of desserts to choose from, but I did not try any. I've know this place by their homemade dinner rolls. 1st time actually eating here.
Simple, good food at more than reasonable prices. This is a back to basics cafeteria, the interior probably hasn't changed much since it opened 60+ years ago but appears clean and cared for.
My chicken pot pie with sides and roll we're $8. The green beans were excellent with lots of flavor, corn was crisp and sweet. The pie could have used more salt but had lots of vegetables and chicken. Most of the customers were older like me. Service behind the counter was excellent and it was nice to be offered tea refills while I ate.
Nice variety of entrees and vegetables, good selection of salads. Attached bakery has cookies, pies, breads, pasties to take home. Areal throw back to another time.
Very good food. I ate the seafood gumbo. Lots of shrimp fish and sausage in the gumbo with a red brownish rue. The rice was a little under cooked for my taste. Place looked very clean and wait staff was very attentive.
