This past Saturday I along with 2 friends went to Elliot's Table for the first time and had a great dining experience. While the place is rather small, we were able to get a reservation and did not have to wait upon arrival. We shared two starters - the roasted oysters and the pork belly bites. Both were awesome. We then had the fried chicken, the beef shank ravioli, and the seafood pasta as entrees. We were all very satisfied with our meals. Lastly, we shared a piece of the strawberry cake which we ended up ordering at the beginning of the meal since we saw it rapidly disappearing from the counter. One of the best pieces of cake I've had in a LONG time! Definitely recommend this place for dinner. We will definitely be back.
We had a really great time here. I will be back! Food was fantastic but the portions are a little small for the price, so definitely be prepared for 3 courses plus dessert.
The food is superb. All the flavors complement each other exceptionally well. Excellent beer selection, haven't tried the wine yet. Atmosphere is quaint, but comfy. The music and table talk are at comfortable levels so you never have to yell or raise your voice. They treat you like family here. And I really dig that.
Elliot's Table just did the most magical food/wine tasting for a group of 15 of my closest friends. The service and quality of every single bite of food was fabulous with a variety of smart and fun wine pairings. The front house and kitchen teams work together seamlessly to deliver an intimate, comforting, but elevated meal experience.
Highlights: Ribs, roasted oysters, shrimp and grits, friend chicken and french fries (best in Houston), roasted vegetables, braised beef and mac & cheese, and OH WAIT EVERYTHING WAS A HIGHLIGHT. Seriously. Every single dish amazed and delighted our large party.
We will all be making this a regular on our restaurant rotation and fully recommend you go meet Elliot, Max, and the rest of this special team. Do the tasting they offer. But fair warning, come very, very hungry!!!
What a shiny new star in the vibrant Houston restaurant scene! Besides being so conveniently located in our neighborhood, the ambience, service, and menu were impeccable.
A glance at the menu shows strong gulf coast roots. I did a double take when I saw speckled trout was offered - had to order it. So rare to see this on a menu yet as most local people know it is one of the most flavorful species indigenous to our coastal waters. Well done Elliot's Table on staying true to Houston.
The space is really small and intimate. You can easily have a conversation and upscale meal, all in a place that is not pretentious.
Bravo Elliot's Table. We will be back!
