The food was hot and tasty but I just can't justify the price for these meals. My empanadas were great but most of these meals are not what I would consider upscale. My biggest concern is chip waste. They bring you refills of chips and salsa but they grab the basket when it is clearly not empty and instead of pouring them on top of your refill, they just take them back to the kitchen to toss. I'm sure most people would prefer to finish them, so maybe this is something they can consider instead of tossing them.
Nice and warm atmosphere. The service was really good and the food was really delicious. Love it and I will definitely be coming back.
Mexican & Tex-Mex food and drink located in a large upscale strip shopping center. There is a nice large bar area where you can eat and drink quite good margaritas. An extensive menu offers a variety foods from both Texas and Mexico. They have a good menu of appetizers / bar bites. The food is nicely spiced and not overstated. Sadly, the standard salsa has just perceptible heat and tastes of canned tomatoes; however, asking your server for some of their habanero salsa will fix that.
Found this place by happy accident while on the way to Houston Hobby Airport. Upscale furnishings, nice decor and very clean. They have valet service but we went at lunchtime and easily parked next door in front of some of the other shops. The service was excellent. We ate simply, chips and salsa of course and a taco salad with chicken and a taco entree with 3 yummy tacos that I mixed up between crunchy and soft. They were served with rice and beans. I am a pretty big eater at 6'5" and 250 lbs and I didn't finish the plate so portions were good. Most of my fave Mexican restaurants are hole in the wall type places so it was nice to enjoy a higher end experience. The prices were not too high but it is probably more expensive than average local Mexican restaurants. They had a Tequila menu and a great patio so I am sure this place has a nice evening crowd since the location is good.
I came here during lunch time and sat in the beautiful patio area, the service and speed of getting our food was great. I ordered something from the lunch special menu that I wasn't happy with the portion size of , but that was my fault for not asking the size before ordering. The staff was very accommodating at fixing my issue. I then ordered the Del Mar which was so great, I will definitely be ordering it again and coming back here again!
