They now have extended hours. And you can rent the event space which is absolutely gorgeous!!
Grits were great but wait time for food was 45 minutes and my children said the waffles were cold. The pork chop batter came right off when I cut it. Very disappointed
I decided to give Esther's another try and I must say, the food was excellent. What a big difference!!
Amazing.... Chicken and Waffles... is the truth!! The chicken came out piping hot!!! Ms. Tracey(waitress) took care of us and everyone else!! The service is outstanding... from A to Z! Very nice restaurant decor. I will return for more!
My friend and I came to this restaurant on Saturday for a late brunch at 2:20P.M. This was our first time at the restaurant, and we decided to try this establishment because it was on the list for Houston Black Restaurant Week. When my friend and I arrived, we were greeted by Diamond, a lovely young lady who provided great customer service. She greeted us and answered our questions about the menu. We decided to order the chicken and waffles and the boudin ball skillet. We waited about 10-15 minutes, and our food was delivered by a server. The food was hot/fresh!! To begin with, that waffle was SO D**N good and sweet. You didn't need any syrup with it, and the wings were good. However, the wings needed a better fry seasoning. They were hot but missing some flavor. In addition, my friend enjoyed her boudin ball skillet. Overall, thanks again for a great experience, and we will return to this restaurant.
When you go to Esther’s, it doesn’t look like there is a restaurant in that location. I assure you, you must stop and go in! The food was amazing. We had the Eggs Benny and the Chicken Fried Steak. Both dishes were seasoned very well. They were full of flavors and we definitely cleaned out our plates! You should also try their grits. I personally never eat grits because I don’t like them, but Esther’s grits are awesome! The chef came out and greeted us. They do have mimosas after 12 pm!
