Frenchys Chicken

Since 1969. Food was decent. Get there before church across the street dismisses. Traffic cops..qnd long drive thru and inside waiting. Desserts are not great at all. Very disappointing. We ordered chocolate and lemon cake, bread pudding and praline. It was not what I was expecting from a southern restaurant. Chicken was too salty. Greens under seasoned. Dirty rice was good. Red beans & rice was alright. I'm good...won't be back

Since they moved to the new location, their food doesn't seem to be as good. It's a 50/50 chance that the food will be amazing! When you DO catch them on one of their good days, MY LORD!!!!, the chicken will dance in your mouth and you will sing praises to the most high for the wonderful sacrifice! They're always busy so they wait is extremely long, but the staff is friendly and polite. You'll feel like you're at home when you dine in, if you can find a place to seat.

Different location, same quality food. It seems as though they've modified their prices to be more affordable. I ran into Local Celebrity rapper Lil Flip. He bought so much stuff, it looked like he was about to feed the whole studio.

Food is absolutely delicious. The best fried chicken in Houston in my opinion. But the lobby is typically unkept and a turnoff. Food is a 5, cleanliness of lobby is a 1.
