Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

Encountered a bit of an issue with our grill not working, but the staff figured it out. Very happy they did - this was an excellent lunch! Great price, high quality, fun experience, and good service. They offer a number of menus - to the point it's almost overwhelming - but I'll make it simple for you: get the special that has the most options for your price range! You won't go wrong!

Great location downtown Houston, parked right away on a holiday Monday. Sat down immediately. Our hostess was attentive, explanatory and there mostly when we needed her. Food selection was dang good and they even had duck which is one of my favorites.

1st time experience for my lady friend. Definitely coming back and experience this place again.

I came with my girlfriend and the prices were reasonable. If you're a heavy eater it's better to get the "package" since the portions are small and the prices do add up quick. Great place to go with a group but would recommend to do a reservation to get the bigger tables since they have a limited amount of those tables.

The best place to eat steak, shrimp and chicken. You get to cook it yourself while enjoying your friend's or family's company.
The only thing they could do to improve is have plates with names of the meat or those giant toothpicks with the name of the meat on the plate. We always lose track of what plate has what meat. We enjoyed the taste of all of it. It is so worth it. YUM!

Amazing restaurant with hit quality cuts of meat. I love the experience of grilling my own Japanese barbecue, and the food here is delicious. A great place to come with your family or a group of friends.
