Irma's Southwest

This was my first visit to Irma's Southwest, and it didn't disappoint. Attentive service and friendly staff set an immediate tone as we began lunch. We had delicious skinny margaritas, which I believe had some sort of chili salt around the rim. The fresh guacamole was excellent, and the nilgai enchiladas—while a little pricey for two—were exotic enough to justify the cost. The green sauce and cheese combined with the slightly smoky nilgai meat was a winning combination.

Highly recommended, and downtown Houston definitely needs our business now more than ever!

Living next door at 500 Crawford, Irma’s Mexican Cuisine is our favorite restaurant in downtown Houston, across the street. What a great family that runs this business establishment. Oh, and the best chips and salsa!

What can I say. 5/5. Amazing food and service. Limited menu but on purpose because all items served are worth trying. Drinks are great too. Just get anything that’s on the menu and they will accommodate to your dietary restrictions (I.e we substituted beef for chicken). Everything is great, order anything - you can’t go wrong.

This place has truly incredible food, but also a wonderful local vibe that makes you want to come back again and again. One of those places where they will remember your name and what foods you love. If you’re looking for a great food experience in Houston, this is it. Highly recommend!!
