the food is AMAZING. i just don’t understand why they feel like they can open whenever they feel like it ? our culture has to do better when it comes to things like that. if you have a set time posted on your door STICK TO IT. it’s what we expect when we on the way mouth watering for gumbo ??

I went there yesterday December 23 and I have to tell you! this place... oh my God! ❤️❤️❤️ My oxtails were delicious, the red beans and rice were amazing and that Mac and cheese yummy as it can be. My husband had the catfish basket with the homemade fries and I’m not a catfish fan but this catfish was soo well seasoned and delicious and those homemade fries were great (they had a small problem with them but they fixed it ASAP and we were able to try them oh my... I’m coming back for them ?.
Also I have to tell you the lemonade was made right there after we ordered and was very good and if you love ice tea you gotta try theirs cuz I loved it. Overall I give them 5 stars because everything we both had was delicious we will definitely make the drive all the way from league city just to come try their food again. If you’re looking for good soul food you gotta come to NaWels.
And don’t forget to try their banana pudding you will not be disappointed it was hands down the best I’ve had in a very long time.
