I'm visiting from El Paso and my mom was raving about NYD&CS, so we had to come!????
I ordered the 2 Eggs and a Plain Bagel with the House Fries.
My food came and everything was semi-warm. I was anticipating to spread my cream cheese onto my bagel and it would be nice and hot. It wasn't. The butter was hardly melting. And my eggs and "fries" seemed like they were cooked a while before I ordered.
I like the seasoning of the potatoes but I bet they would have been better if they were fresh.
I might try for another chance next time I visit and maybe it was just an off day. My mom was surprised at the quality of the food and didn't finish her bagel. ????????♀️
I will come by before we leave back for some fresh bagels for sure! Just not sure on the dining experience.
It’s like going home; Lower East Side and Queens! Food and service are great! Bagels and home fries are on point! My daughter who does not like the morning meal said this is the best breakfast she’s ever had!! We’ll be back for the weekday specials regularly!
This little place just has the best bagels and cream cheese in Houston. Consistently great food and service in a cozy atmosphere.
1st time ever Olga and I came here today. The food is ORIGINAL NY style.. The place is immaculate, every nook and cranny is clean to perfection. It has that old school New York dinner feel. Atmosphere is bribrant and customer service here is like no other. Ed (the owner) made us feel more than welcome, like seeing an old friend. As business owners ourselves is awesome to meet others like him that take great pride in what they do. Come pay them a visit, tell them Ronnie and Olga sent you. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT and it will not be aggressive to your pockets. You're welcome in advance!!
I was recommended this place after moving here from NJ, I was looking for a good bagel place. It was pretty great! I tried the bagels and potato pancakes...which did not come with sour cream and applesauce like most places. But it was fairly inexpensive and there are 2 sides one just sells bagels and muffins, etc. No cream cheese on it, just the bagel. The other side is a restaurant, I just ordered from there, which seemed common, I went Saturday at 9 and it was pretty busy, but maybe just a 5 minute wait if you wanted to eat there.
