Pappas Bar-B-Q

I ordered the basket of brisket sandwiches. The brisket was tender and well cooked. The portions were good with the meat and you definitely get your money's worth on the fries. But they were very good. Staff were very helpful. I'll definitely be coming in again.

Good barbecue in the heart of downtown. Very reasonably priced too! The hush puppies were mind blowing, and the whiskey list was extensive. The pulled turkey feature was not so good, but it's not on the main menu for a reason. Nice staff and a social atmosphere to boot.

So often I find BBQ is dry and not moist. This food was awesome. We have the family pack, so I had a rib, pulled pork, brisket and chicken. It was really all very yummy. My guest also enjoyed the coleslaw. So glad we found this place. Excellent food! Restaurant was cool on a hot day, clean and the staff was really nice.

Brisket was bomb. Nice cracked pepper crust, just enough fat and perfect tenderness. Beans were dynamite. Nice kick of spice and sausage mixed in. Potato salad was one point. And their house BBQ sauce was PERFECT! Just the right amount of heat, sweet and a touch of vinegar. All around excellent BBQ. Best food I've had this trip to Houston. Look forward to coming back. Ignore the Karen reviews on here. This place is it!!!

Never a fail when I come here. I always get 3 meats the sausage, ribs, and brisket. They NEVER DISAPPOINT. Came here Saturday night me and my partner and when I say, I wanted to slap my momma that brisket was so succulent, moist, tender and flavorful!!!! It just melted right on my tongue. That's what you call good eating. I am a little bias when I go other places but can't lie, haven't had BBQ yet that has topped Pappas. Looking for some good ribs and briskets. Pappas is definitely your place!
