I ordered delivery. Food was extremely good! Lamb chops, Mac n cheese, collard greens, rice, gumbo. Only reason this is 4 stars is because my gumbo didn’t have any seafood present.
Wow. The flavor here is unbelievable! This place is working to get some traction and I can validate that they NEED some! The lamb chops were hands down the best I have ever experienced in my life! I’m the kind of person that will cut fat off of a piece of meet but I was gnawing on the bones here - totally out of character and unexpected. All of the sides are incredible of course. The staff was amazing and so friendly and attentive - the drinks fantastic. My only advice is to align the price point. Top dollar (even though it is worth every penny! So delicious!) is not in line with bringing people in and making a name.
Eager to explore the heart and soul of the place, I opted for the gumbo. It was divine. A great and affordable lunch treat that had me eager to come back, explore the menu, and bring friends. Staff were friendly and passionate.
This is a new spot in midtown/montrose area. The venue itself is very nice. There is seating inside and out. They've only been open a month or so. Dani was our server and she is amazing. We had a great time with her. We received complimentary wine while sitting there ( last night was the final night). We ordered wings (lemon pepper and garlic parm) but they also had barbecue and Buffalo. We also ordered seafood pasta, catfish (one grilled and one fried), cup of gumbo and collard greens. The absolute best dish was the seafood pasta, close second was the chicken and sausage gumbo. The other items were good, but our repeat orders will include pasta and gumbo. I love the fact that they cooked their greens with turkey products and use chicken or turkey sausage in the pasta and gumbo. I found out that the owner don't eat pork, however for Sunday Brunch they offer pork options such as bacon and sausage. Parking will be typical for this area which is on the street. It was not many people at all, but the set-up they have it won't be long once the word gets out. The outside seating area had televisions as well. Overall it's popping and I see the potential for being overly crowded really soon. Check them out now so you can enjoy a nice relaxing meal with some cool people.
