Pepe's Burgs & Margs

I really liked their menu, would like to try nachos next time. Got burgers, mushroom and classic smashburhees. The bread was good, and needed to be large because the burger weight was heavy. You need to be rather hungry to finish a burger, I ate half of mine, but my husband ate all of his plus fries. I really thought the sautéed onions were excellent, as well as the mushrooms.

This place is a hidden gem. the same people who run "Tamales Don Pepe" own this place! The burgers and fries i had here, been the best I've had in a while! It's better than most burger places in Houston! Give a try... you won't regret it!

Great little find. I had a no frills cheeseburger for lunch today. Something like 13-14 bucks with good seasoned fries and drink.
I also had the taquitos with queso. I was thinking 6 bucks for 3 Delimex frozen taquitos was a bit much, but the $10 worth of fresh guacamole more than made up for that thought. They have a house made spicy ketchup, which was exceptional. I'm not certain, but I am thinking Tapitio is the sauce that was added.. I am going back, no question.

We showed up at 11 am. The margaritas weren't frozen yet and I really wanted to try one, they're newly opened so it may take a while to get everything running smoothly. My wife got the 3 piece chicken tender meal which comes with a drink and fries. She didn't like the tenders, for her they were too salty, not me, she had one that was too chewy, the one I tried was very good. I enjoyed a tasty poblano burg meal, fries and a diet pepsi. I'll give them another try in a few weeks.

First time trying Pepe's - the food and the experience was good! will i come back? definitely! i had the smokey burger with a meal and it was delicious. i would order to go light on the chipotle peppers. they were all in the center of the burger and wasn't pleasant getting a mouthful of peppera. the fries that came as a meal is smaller than expected, but the fries and the burger were very well seasoned. my partner had the nachos and it's not your average tortilla chips but it was also good. the entire establishment was clean including the restrooms. I'd like to come back and try their loaded fries!
