Punk’s Simple Southern Food

I liked this place. Good was pretty good, although I did think it was a little pricey for what it was. But portion size was good.

Wife wanted to go here because of the wings and waffles, but we didn't get to try as that is a brunch option.

I had the chicken fried steak and she had a cheeseburger. We also came with the kids and they had mini corn dogs and the lunch pale (basically a really big lunchable). Kids enjoyed their food and it came in lunch trays like you'd see in school.

There's outside seating (where sat) and access to a small green space for the kids if they want to run around.

We have a party of 15. Peyton was our server (with help from Faith) and the service was superb! Our food came out hot and accurate (which is saying a lot with a party that large). We took the children to play outside in the adjoining courtyard. Appetizers came out quickly and the drinks never ran dry. It was a lovely outing and we would definitely return. Thanks for making the commemorative dinner for Grandmother's 90th birthday so memorable and pleasant.

Server Edrick was super friendly and helpful with helping us decide on what to eat. The food came quick and was as good as it gets in Houston! Grant was also super nice. Good place with good food. Will be stopping by again!

Came with a huge group for what was essentially a catered event and everything ran pretty smoothly. I actually did not think much of either the fried chicken or chicken fried steak - it was decent but nothing to write home about. Drinks were good, service was friendly and the veggie sides were surprisingly tasty though!
