This food was amazing! My love, who's from Haiti, wanted to introduce me to some of their cuisine, so we decided to order a few dishes. When he called ahead to check on availability, unfortunately, a couple of items were out, but that was no issue. We placed our order online instead. When the food arrived, he was pleasantly surprised to find one of the dishes we had inquired about, which they didn't have, included in the delivery with a note saying "on the house", this means they made it special for him fresh. It made my partner feel incredibly special, and it added to the overall experience. Plus, the food itself was absolutely delicious! I'm definitely coming back this week for seconds. Trust me, it's worth ordering.

I’m from south Florida and Sonia’s is the closest have had to authentic Haitian food in Houston. The griot was very tender and moist and the rice is good as well. This my second time coming here and I hope they keep up the great quality food.

I have lived in Houston for a decade now. But before Houston, I was born in Port Au Prince Haiti, lived there with my grandmother until the age of 7, before moving to the states. I lived in Asbury Park, NJ, NY, and FL throughout my adolescence before joining the Marine Corps at age 21….. I’ve grown up in huge Haitian demographics! I’ve had the pleasure of eating authentic Haitian food my whole life and I myself prepare some of my grandmothers recipes that I remember from my youth regularly. Making Haitian food is a lengthy process of love, art and science. You have got to know your stuff. So I don’t always have time to cook. So, since moving to Houston TX, I have been constantly searching for real Haitian food. I’ve been to a few places, that tried their best. I’ve been to one place that did a good job, but didn’t last long in the area they were in, and I found a gem of a spot in a food truck, but the owner sadly passed. I say that to say, in ten years in Houston, I have NEVER EXPERIENCED A GREAT AUTHENTIC HAITIAN 🇭🇹 food spot. Until today!! Sonia’s Kreyol Kitchen is the epitome of Haitian cuisine. Staples like Diri a Djon Djon, Griot, piklis, pwason, and sauce poulet! Just to name a few!! And they were knocked out of the park…. No, knocked out of the country! The flavor profiles, the authencity, brought me back to a time where my grandma would make me my favorite Haitian dishes, in Haiti! Reminds me of my aunt’s and mom making Haitian feasts, when we lived in Jersey and Florida! I can confidently state, this is the most authentic Haitian experience in Houston… I’ll even go further, you won’t find better Haitian food in Texas and the surrounding states!! Sonia has now monopolized Haitian Cuisine in central US! She is now Tati Sonia, those who know, know! This is a must try! I’ve now added this to my regular spots to visit, and once you try it, so will you! This is rated a Six 🥜 🥜 🥜 🥜🥜 🥜 by the G.E.C. The highest rated experience we have given a dining destination!

THE BEST FRIED FISH MEAL I EVER HAD! Im from miami so im very familiar with Haitian food and im soooo glad i found this place in Htown! It is delicious and the portion is great. Iv had the griot and the fried fish and everything was always tasty and fresh!

The food hall itself is clean and easy to navigate. There are tables to dine in at after you pick up your food. Quick and easy service.

The food was amazing! I had the plantains, fried pork (griot), with red beans & rice. It’s refreshing to find a Haitian restaurant in Houston that captures the authentic flavors. I look forward to going back!
