Spring Creek Barbeque

Fresh Bread is not cooked all the way, it just needs a few more minutes. This raw bread is bad for the stomach. But the food is good.

My son is new to the Houston area. End of long day of unpacking, needing good dinner to carry out. Hurray for Spring Creek! Excellent brisket and turkey. And their sausage is some of the best we've had. Thanks, folks, for making us feel welcome with a great supper!

Far better than Rudy's and all those other area chain BBQ places! Several things here make them a better BBQ joint, but one of the most important is, simply put, the sauce. Rudy's is horribly watery and runny. Not Spring Creek, that's for sure. Their slabs of ribs are generous, with plenty of quality meat on them, and moderately priced. Numerous sides offer a nice variety in that arena.

Perhaps one of their greatest perks, one to which I look forward every time I go, is their uniquely tasting, delicious, hot dinner rolls that the waitresses walk around handing out to whomever wants one (and you can get more than one, too!). These things melt in your mouth and are to die for!
