Thai Pepper is one of the most authentic Thai experiences that Houston has to offer. Bar none, their cheese rolls are worth the trip from anywhere around: unique and delicate flavor. That alone would make you want to return but don't stop there.... Thai Pepper Chicken is one of my favorites: thinly slivered chicken simmered with peppers and onions in a light chicken based sauce....yummmy!
Their version of chicken fried steak is their Ivory Chicken: a light coconut creamed gravy over lightly battered chicken, really an authentic, tasty & unique treat. Heck, the more I write here the more I feel like I'm doing their other dishes an injustice. Basil Chicken, Pad Thai, Crystal noodles, homemade, icy cold coconut ice cream.... oh Lawwwd!

This was my first visit here but am very pleased I gave it a try. I did take out right before they closed so wait time was adequate. The gentleman that helped me was polite and knowledgeable. I tried something I have never ate anywhere else ever, while it wasn't what I imagined, it was very tasty and tasted very fresh and homemade. I asked for Thai spicy and they delivered! Sometimes restaurants are afraid to really do Thai spicy but not here, I loved it. I will defiantly return to try out more delicious food, hopefully it will remain to be positive experiences.

I had the lunch special Pad Thai. It was good. Flavorful. My issue is that the for the price the portion size was small. Even for a lunch size portion it was small. The dish came with a scoop of pad Thai, scoop of fried rice, spring roll, cheese roll, and sweet and sour dipping sauce. The lunch special was $9.50. The waiter was attentive. The atmosphere is ok. It’s an old converted house but the decor is nice. It does have an old home odor but it’s not horrible. My issue is mostly the price did not match the portion or what other restaurants charge for lunch specials.

A great spot for leisurely Thai food. The curry (any) is a must try. Pad Thai and Masaman are also must try dishes.
