Thai Village Restaurant

My wife loves this place!! She's been eating here since her days at Grad School at University of Houston Central. I think it's a decent place for Thai. The interior of this place could use a little updating. The staff is nice though.
On a different note, I actually like a Thai restaurant at Uptown Park called Songran Thai Kitchen. I think it's way better. Hope this helps!!

Below review is for the lunchtime buffet:

For $15 including tip my expectations weren’t high and that’s a good thing. About the only highlight was the Pad Thai and the rice pudding dessert. The curried dishes were okay but generally lacking flavor and the white rice container was empty for the first hour. Some of the things I was looking forward to most like dumplings and spring rolls just came up really empty on flavor or had an awkward taste.

On a non food front everything felt reasonably clean and the waiters were super responsive.

thai food and the scene here is super good. good place to hang and eat some good food. really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, i'll be back. bring your appetite because portions are filling.

The service is very polite and the decoration is authentic inside. The food is tasty and you can tell care goes into the food. My only critique is the tofu that goes into dishes are big pieces that lack much flavor due to being larger. Usually tofu picks up flavor of the food it's absorbing. Also because the pieces are big, there does not seem to be as much food given on either noodle, veggie, or curry dishes that goes into the meal besides the tofu.
