A friend recently told me about The Tamale Joint, so I placed an order through door dash for a dozen pork tamales.

Overall they’re very good. Nice balance of flavor and spice, good ratio of filling to masa. Only minor observation is they’re not quite as large as many tamales I’ve had.

That being said, I’ll add them to my “good tamale” list for when I get a craving!

    Check them out!

They have some good decent chicken tamales and elote. The masa (dough) is seasoned just right, not too salty. The green salsa has a kick to it but in a good spicy way. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back again.

This place is amazing! Their tamales are fantastic, their margaritas are bomb, and you have to get the salsa verde. The service was impeccable, the proprietor was beyond nice. This will definitely be my new lunch spot.

I was prepared to be disappointed, since trying something new can be hit-or-miss, but everything here was so delicious! We had a half dozen pork, a half dozen jalepeno and cheese, and an order of corn in a cup. Everything tasted authentic, and these weren't itty bitty tamales. Between two adults who had skipped breakfast, we had food left over. It was all served hot and the salsas were very, very flavorful. I'm excited to go back soon and often to try everything on the menu.

I'm a little biased because I was craving a Tamle and this place hit the craving just right. I felt immediately obligated to write a review. This place deserves your patronage.

The sweet corn was fluffy and moist. With that familiar light creme accent of sweet corn dishes. It did fall apart likely from the moisture in the corn, not a big deal, it made it easy to consume on a plate. Making bite sized chunks that held together.

We also got the Chicken and Green sauce tamales, they too were moist maza. I wasn't paying attention like another poster about filling because I didn't look. It was very obvious in the corn ones. I was a bit busy stuffing my face with another piping HOT (temp) tamale.

The Red Hot sauce was perfectly spicy for the Spicy Salsa lover. It has a quick bite of heat and is able to die down with a refreshing sip of Horchata.

We had two in my party and ordered 1/2 dozen each. Which was sufficient to fill both of us up. Not to the point of gluttony but definitely full.

They also sell alcohol and margaritas I did not try them but other folks were ordering them.

This place seemed like it filled up a little while I was there and they were able to quickly deal with the minor rush. This was nice since we were in a time crunch. Ourselves and we received our Pre-made tamales hot!
