Landry's Seafood House

Food here is really good, staff is kind, tables are always nice and clean. I've come a few times now for the lunch buffet, and always have a good meal. Just wish there was more variety in the buffet, and atmosphere was a bit more... Maybe lively... Or more lighting.... Can't put my finger on it.

Went for the reasonably priced Sunday brunch; everything was great but the selection was very limited (though shrimp lovers will not be disappointed). Even though I chose the buffet, the service was excellent! All in all it's enough to lure you back to experience their dinner service.

The food was fresh and fried to perfection. The lightest tasting fried fish,and shrimp! The cheesecake was also very good. I haven't been in years and forgot how good the food is, I will return!

The food (Captains Gumbo) came out and it was really dark. I thought I was not going to like it. Plus I did not see any okra in it, which to me ALL gumbo needs okra.

It was really good though...surprisingly so. Would be better with okra and maybe don't put the bread in the gumbo...many people are not fans of soggy bread. Still, it was good and I ate it up.

Our server, Lauren I believe, was perfect. Lauren was attentive, but not annoyingly so. Her demeanor came across as pleasant and informative. I am not a fan of super energetic wait staff who constantly interrupt, nor am I a fan of not being helped at all. Lauren works in the sweet spot were your needs are met and you can enjoy your meal.

We visited the Katy Landry's on Thursday, January 31, 2019 around 4:30 p.m. We did not make reservations and it was not crowded at 4:30. We had great service; a fantastic waiter! We ordered one of each from the 3-Course meal for $20.50. Food was delicious! What a bargain! Generous portions of the Mediterranean Hemingway, two pieces of fish. My husband ordered the Parmesan Cedar Plank Shrimp and, he really enjoyed! The salad was good and fresh. My husband is from Baton Rouge and ordered gumbo. He said that it was one of the best! We both ordered bread pudding and it was the best we have ever had!! We will go again!!
