A Lil Taste of the South

I normally don’t leave reviews and I love supporting black owned businesses but several things were just not right. I walked in and was greeted by a very nice waitress that brought me a menu and a free appetizer. She brought the regular menu but failed to mention the lunch menu and it was 12:15 pm. She brought me a glass of tap water but never mentioned it would cost me a $1, which is absurd! When my son arrived all of a sudden we had 2 waitresses trying to help, which the second waitress offered him a lunch menu!! I had already gotten my order so I asked why didn’t I get a lunch menu and the second waitress apologized for the first one WHATEVER! I decided to stay with my son and the first waitress brings my check and as you can see there is a water charge and a cash or non cash charge. So I was like ok I’ll pay cash. She comes back and I hand it to her and she says oh we don’t take cash!?!? WTH so I asked why is it there and she says they just never changed it. So not only am I charged for water, that I didn’t ask for, but I’m also charged a $1 for using my card even thought I had cash!!!!
Food wise and ambiance were great but the ridiculous fees were not!!!
All of this made me decide not to frequent this place ever again. I had called my family and told them let’s go there for my birthday but they were like no way look at those prices!

This is a hidden gem in Katy! The establishment is very nice, clean, and spacious. The staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food is really good!! Especially, the catfish nuggets on the catfish poboy. They have a phenomenal happy hour menu with a variety of food options. The food is reasonably priced. (You get more fries than what’s pictured here; I ate some). We’ve known about this place all of 2 weeks and have gone 3 times already. My family and I love it!

Walked in with my family after football practice and was very satisfied with my visit. The service was great our food was amazing and cooked to perfection. I was more impressed by the waitress was not only served us but also took care of the whole restaurant like it was nothing i highly recommended to anyone looking gorgeous a nee spot to dine with family and friends

Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the boudin, which was delicious. We were the only ones there. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was superb. I'm not sure why the place was so empty on a Friday night. I would definitely revisit.
