El Rey Taqueria

The Cuban food was delicious. I will definitely be going back here. The plantains were delicious and my meat and rice was great. I think I had #35 on the menu.

I was so excited seeing El Rey was coming to Katy! Their fish tacos are to die for!!! They just melt in your mouth! Their tortilla soup is delicious as well! The staff is super friendly and very attentive. They still have some stuff to work out since they just opened but it is a must go to place for some fish tacos!!!

The food was great as usual however, the general manager was not the nicest. I went to up to grab our food and drinks only to have him tell me that they only charged us for 1 lemonade (we ordered two and I heard the girl that took our order repeat back that we ordered two). Anyway, no big deal. So he proceeds to give me my “new” total. After I got back to my seat I look at the new receipt and realize he has charged me for 3 lemonades now (not two). I then find my old original receipt and see that we were charged for two all along. Not sure why he felt the need to charge us for another. When I went back up to let him know he was clearly very irritated by the ordeal when in fact it was his mistake from the very beginning. Check your receipts!!

I am SO PUMPED that katy has an El Rey! El Rey has always been one of my favorite spots and this new location is just as good as the rest! The vegan sandwich and vegan tacos are amazing, and tastes so fresh! I can never go without getting a cantaloupe juice as well! This Taqueria is a must try!
