Souq International Markets Katy

Fair variety, decent prices. Nothing amazing, but nothing terrible.

They have a decent selection of foodstuffs not normally found in the West, as expected, but prices are not great. They are, at best, average for the area. No department is large, but three at least have everything represented. Souq includes a bakery, butcher, grocery, and seafood shop where you can get fresh food. This includes live seafood, freshly baked breads, and goats and lambs butchered in shop. They have all the spices, sauces, and seasonings you'll need to prepare nearly any dish, though not a huge variety of most in particular. You may only have a selection of 2 or 3 brands for a given ingredient. The exception to this is their fresh noodle fridge. It's unusually well stocked. The seafood section is honestly rather small, as well.

Overall Souq is a good one stop shop for your Eastern grocery needs. It provides all the bits you need in one location. Other places might have better prices, or better variety, but not in this area. You pay a bit more the convenience, which if well worth it if you live in the area. Other markets will be far enough that it's worth just sticking to Souq, but if you don't live in the are or pass by Mason Road regularly, I can't recommend it.

What a great store! It's really well organized, clean, has A HUGE selection of international foods, and plenty of Halal and Asian varieties. Really really a blessing for the Muslim option in the Katy area, as the other Halal markets tend to be really far away.

Prices here are also good. Not as expensive as other stores. Reality worth a look.

First time i ever come across a store that met all my needs. This place is one of the best places in Texas. The atmosphere is nice, staff is friendly and the products are the best there is! Very culturally diverse and very organized. The store does it’s due diligence in making sure everyone is in a clean and safe environment. This place is a must visit!

Went in to quickly check this place out and end up spending over $60 an hour later. I found it to be very friendly, very interesting. Thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience today. Wish I could have had more time today to walk the store more. Definitely will be back.
