Great little surprise. Was expecting standard Korean bbq (which is delicious as is) but this place really steps it up. The food was excellent. The server was very knowledgeable and was able to talk us through the menu perfectly. Highly recommend if you want a great blend of food, service and vibe.

Went here last night with my family and had a great experience. Food was amazing all-around, from the main meal to the dessert. The concept of cooking our meat on a stone was fun and unique. Owner came to our table and talked to us. He was very genuine and cared about our experience. Waitstaff was very fast and caring. The restaurant itself had a clean, modern look. This is a new restaurant with big potential when people find out about it more. Will be coming back when I’m back in Texas again.

Great food and good people running the place. Definitely on our regular out-to-eat places list. Can't wait to eat there again soon.

Absolutely delicious Korean food, some of which you can even cook yourself on a hot stone! Thoughtfully curated menu of high end beef and pork cuts that melt in your mouth, and sides that pair beautifully with your choice of protein. The desserts are made in house by one of the owners, who is an experienced and inventive pastry chef. This is a chef-driven concept, locally owned and operated by two especially talented Houston chefs. Prices are phenomenal, making this a great deal! Full bar with specialty cocktails and soju, a Korean alcoholic beverage. Easy, well lit parking.

Here in the west Houston suburb of Katy, Texas, the dining options continue to improve. Thanks to the large Asian population, we have a growing number of Asian restaurants and one that was just recently added to the scene is Stone Age Korean Grill Bar.

Stone Age Korean Grill Bar is a medium- sized restaurant with enough seating, including booths, and tables, to hold around 100 or so guests. It straddles the line between a casual and a more upscale dining establishment. The interior is modern and pleasant and there is a television or two, but this isn’t a place to visit for television sports. Stone Age Korean Grill Bar is about the food, as you will quickly learn as soon as you place an order.

The menu options at Stone Age Korean Grill Bar include small plates, soups, larger Stone Grill options, sides, etc. The small plates are good as a warm- up or could serve as a snack for someone who isn’t very hungry. If your appetite is heartier, you will want to go with a steak or other meat with side dishes from the Stone Grill.

The food served at Stone Age Korean Grill Bar is delicious overall and what really sets this restaurant apart from most is the volcanic stone they bring right to your table. With this hot stone, you can take the meat from your meal, and other items as well, and grill them to your liking, right before your own eyes. I love this because it means I can split a steak with someone, cut it up, and we can each cook it the way we like it. Kids like it, too, because it is fun to watch the meat sizzle on the grill, right there at your table.

It's cool to have so many more food options in Katy than in the past. Stone Age Korean Grill Bar is one of my favorite newer restaurants, both for its delicious food and courteous service. It’s a great place to check out if you love Asian food and want options that the entire family can enjoy.
