First time here,family resturant indeed!! Delicious food and the fresh hot bread with butter was yummy! Good reasonable lunch specials$..huge portions!

I worked here long ago before it burned down back in the late 90s early 2000s and it really hasn't changed much. The food quantity is ginormous and the quality is good. During this trip out i ordered the waffle and I was disappointed to get a waffle too cold to melt the butter. I asked our server to warm it up for me and she did, while it melted the butter it also made the waffle very soggy, which was disappointing. The bacon was good and crispy and thick, and the hash browns were all right.. about what I remember them being long ago. My husband got the Kelly Grand slam breakfast which is huge! He was very happy with the chicken fried steak and cream gravy as well as with the hash browns the biscuit and the bacon...I felt like the chicken-fried steak was a little chewier than it needed to be but overall I was happy with it too. Chicken fried steak is hand breaded and crispy where not drenched in gravy. I felt like all of the savory bits really needed a little extra salt which I'm not sad to do myself. Service was really good, timing was really decent and we were there during a weekday lunch.
