You know, you grow up with pizza and video games on Friday nights. After little league sporting events, win or lose, you enjoy a slice or two. You learn how inadequate you really are in the physical realm by disappointing your parents because you didn't win the championship; the very same way that they didn't. You've killed two birds with one stone: their hopes and dreams of living vicariously through you and your shot with the cheerleader. You can both share your failures over a couple slices of that oil rich pie. It's all fleeting nonetheless. Then the years creep upon you and the next thing you know, you're in your mid 30's and anxiously awaiting the traffic light turn green because you just couldn't bring yourself to poop at work. The sunlight displeases you. Passing by children in a field, would once bring nostalgic feelings of revelry, now brings utter contemplation of running them all down. Sugar doesn't taste sweet anymore. But the only thing that we can be certain of OTHER than our death is that Pizza Hut will always be there to shed a little light on your darkness. I love them.
