Kababi Zaytoon

Really quick service, which was fantastic since we were in a hurry to get back to work. Gyro was flavorful and meat was very tender. Will be returning since we are working close right now. Cashier sold us immediately on the gyro due to her description.

Of the three Mediterranean restaurants in our immediate area, Kababi Zaytoons is my favorite. Whether it is for a quick lunch or to sip a pot of hot tea and relax after a day of shopping or errands, their food is wonderful. My daughter and I always order their Naan bread and an order of hummus with our pot of tea. I love the ritual of drinking tea. The tea is served in a pot where the tea is still steeping. A small bowl filled with sugar cubes is set beside the cups inviting one to add one cube to the cup. More than one cube would be an excess.The cup is more like a very small glass that rests in a metal holder with a handle. The hummus and Naan can be purchased at the local grocery store but it can't hold a candle to the Naan and hummus at Kababi Zaytoons. This same food costs less than the grocery store and is freshly made right before delivery to the table. Also, the atmosphere would be missing at the grocery, a vision of being transported far from Spring, Texas to a place that serves it's tea in very tiny cups instead of "Texas Tea Buckets." Closed!

This is by far the best Mediterranean restaurant I have been to. I tried the beef kofta and it is out of this world. The taste had just the right amount of garlic, with the ever so delightful hint of cinnamon and nutmeg. It was served with rice, light and flavorful. I also ordered a Greek salad that was enough for two.
I recommend this restaurant. I will be returning again and again.
Thanks for a wonderful dinner tonight. The prices are very fair for the abundant amout of food that is served.
