First time trying out this new place and their food didn't disappoint. Our waitress was great but the kitchen was slow. I'm sure it's the honeymoon period and with their opening set when everything shutdown they're still fine tuning their operation. I'll definitely be back and hope that their kitchen finds its groove.
The food was Amazing! I thought it would just be finger foods but discovered that it was so much more! It was 20 people in our party and our cups never ran empty! We had an Awesome server named Logan! She was very friendly and fast! So if your looking for a great server please ask for Logan when you visit.. You want be disappointed!
First time at Walk-On’s and we loved it! The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favor and get the mozzarella sticks.. You can thank me later. Pictured is the Bayou Pasta & Lemon Butter Chicken, I substituted onion rings instead of grits ($1 upcharge) I had also eaten the slice of bread and some of the broccoli before photographing the chicken. We are 2 of the mozzarella sticks before photographing, THEY ARE SO GOOD.
Food good, I had the Cypress Cobb salad, their strawberry watermelon lemonade was delicious! Service very good- polite, friendly, and timely.
Only issue I had was the seating. The chair I sat in was high up and uncomfortable on my diseased spine. But, to be fair, my daughter asked for that particular seating without my prior knowledge.
If you like your food with a bit of Cajun spice than this is the place to go.
Pretty much a home run at Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux last night and a really nice place to sit and hang out with friends and have some awesome cocktails and food. We started with the Boom Boom Shrimp, because everyone in the food groups have been talking about it. Really great appetizer, with fantastic flavor and perfecly coated fried crispy shrimp.
We also got the Fried Mozzarella Cheese Logs, definitely a new favorite fried cheese that is hand battered with panko bread crumb. I got the Crawfish Two Ways - crawfish étouffée, fried crawfish tails, rice. Zac got the Pasta
linguine, alfredeaux sauce, parmesan with Blackened Chicken. My friends got the Hangover Burger - sunny side up egg, american, bacon, waffle fry, dressed, brioche bun. The Redfish Rudy - blackened redfish, warm tomato salsa, louisiana street corn. Everything was fabulous and everyone enjoyed what the ordered.
Our server was pretty good for being new. I also got a fantastic cocktail called the Death Valley - svedka vodka, don q cristal rum, triple sec, razzmatazz, orange juice, pineapple juice,32 oz. signature cup! My new favorite summer cocktail! Our friends got The Bandita - camarena reposado tequila, patrón citróngemango liqueur, finest call citrus sour, limesour, simple syrup, topped with 7 moonsred blend, orange twist and a Walk-On’s Bloody Mary' -tito's handmade vodka, zing zang bloody mary mix,walk-on's creole seasoning rim. Our other friend got a Blueberry Coconut Mojito - malibu coconut rum, fresh muddled mintand Blueberries. The bar has it going on here!
Ended the night with the famous Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding, which was crazy good and brought home my wife a Boom Boom Shrimp Po-Boy which she said was really good. I included the full menu pics at the end of all the pics. We can't wait to come back and try more, so much more we want to try.
