Russo's New York Pizzeria Spring Marketplace

Decided to go to Russo’s instead of ordering delivery from them and I am so glad we did, it was great. We got two great pizzas Truffles and Procuitto made by Alex and they were incredible! He is a great chef and a very hard worker and quite willing to please. The best gourmet pizza we had in a very long time and Alex is great!

After a week of disciplined diet, I was craving pizza. I stopped at Russo's. The hostess and waiters were very welcoming and offered to sit me in a booth; very comfortable and great view of both the people entering the restaurant and the large screen TV. Just right since I was eating by myself. The restaurant had a small concurrence.
The waitress immediately brought the traditional bread with olive oil basil dip; I did ask for coarse salt but she mistakenly pointed at the cheese on a shaker. When asked further she checked with the kitchen and relayed the message that they did not have any.

The waitress offered a suggestion for the medium truffle mushroom with a glass of cabernet. The wine was very good, full body just right.
The pizza was nicely crafted perhaps could have used a few more slices of the portobello.
What struck me was a sweet taste on the bottom of the crust, both unexpected and not to my liking, not on pizza anyway. Had to figure out where the sweet had come from. It came from the dressing in the arugula -balsamic vinegar.
My theory is that the pizza was served with the same spatula as used for the arugula and some of the sweet flavor was spread unto the crust.
I am getting picky.

This is the best pizza I have ever eaten. It's made in a traditional brick oven and brought right to your table. You can watch the chef and see the fire. Great service. We're always well taken care of. The atmosphere is just right. Casual and comfortable, but I feel like I'm at an Italian restaurant.

First time ordering from this place used ubereats and I got to say I am really satisfied. Got the Italian deli sandwich and house salad. Nicely toasted everything looks good. Would definitely order from this place again
