Taqueria El Jalapeño

Why oh why, the service was great and that's the only thing, if your looking for authentic Mexican food don't look here, the enchiladas are made with canned cheese! And this is a pet peeve I have with alot of restaurants around this area just please don't, the meat was bland the rice was bland and over cooked the beans well I think they came out of a can but im not sure, skip this place, anyone know of any good Mexican restaurants around kyle or San marcos cuz so far it's one big disappointment guess I'm cooking again.

My husband picked up dinner for us tonight. He had the Carne Guisada (his favorite dish), and I had the tacos birria.

Everything was very fresh and tasty! My husband's meal came with some of the best tortillas I've ever had. He says this is his new favorite place to get Carne Guisada from.

My meal came with both grilled and fresh onions, a gorgeous grilled jalapeno, and cilantro. Each taco was very filling and flavorful.
Both the red and green salsa (the green is very spicy, yee haw!) had a lovely flavor and paired perfectly with our food.

We are very much looking forward to our next visit. Don't sleep on this place, Kyle!

Amazingly well put together establishment. Blown away by the speed and still picking my jaw up off the floor over the taste. Please support my new favorite local spot so it stays around for a long long time11
