EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT! If you know real Cajun cooking, you will love this place! We had the gumbo tonight. My husband was born and raised in south Louisiana and he said it’s the best gumbo he has had since leaving LA. We plan on going back this week. Also, Chef Wendell is a really super nice guy.

Stopped in here today and was blown away by all the delicious food! It really is the best food in San Marcos for sure. I got the red beans and rice and a shrimp poboy. All of it was perfect and fresh. I highly recommend trying it!

The food here is incredible. The entire atmosphere of the bar is awesome. Good music, good drinks, and good food. The catfish po boy is as long as my arm and tastes like you are sitting right on the gulf in Louisiana. The owner is a really cool dude straight outa NOLA and he will greet you with some real southern hospitality if you get a chance to meet him. Definitely some of the best Cajun food in Texas.

I hired Wendell’s to cater a lunch for a large branch at a Fortune 400 company, and it went off without a hitch. The food was great, delivered warm and on time. Price wasn’t the cheapest, but neither were the ingredients. You get what you pay for with seafood & Cajun dishes. The itemized receipt was sent to me at the time my corporate card was charged. All in all it was a good experience and we’ll definitely be using them again for other corporate events.

I been to Wendell’s several times now and each time has been wonderful! Service is great and the owners always give me a smile and show appreciation for my business. The Sausage Po Boy is my favorite. Both thumbs up!
