Longleaf Craft Kitchen & Bar

Very interesting menu food is excellent. The wait staff will take good car of you. Drinks are weak! If not for the drinks I'd given 5 stars.

I have Sunday off so I decided to go to Wimberley Square and try out the new restaurant, Longleaf. The place looks real nice inside. Makes you feel like you're at someone's ranch home. The menu is made up of sandwiches and appetizers, and most of the sandwiches have an olive base. I went in through the first door and it turned out to be the bar. If you don't want to walk through the bar,, go in the second door. There was outside seating as well which, looked really nice. My sandwich came with a either chips or fruit. I went with the fruit and there was plenty of it. The bar has a pretty good crowd, but there are 2 seating sections and one isn't close to the bar area. And, of course there's the outside. My waiter seem to have disappeared but a friendly waitress checked me out fast enough.

This place is quaint yet sophisticated. They have artisan mixed drinks that are very good. Get the Rosemary's Baby. They also have live music often.

A very nice restaurant with friendly staff in the middle of Wimberley. The fried olives were a faboulos companion to the best item of the menu, the Smoked Old Fashioned. The porchetta sandwich were superb and the seasonal vegetable were even better. However it is the very special old fashioned that would make me take the 10 hour flight from Europe to Texas again.

Popped into Longleaf for a little day drinking and am so glad we did. What a beautiful little bar, incredible crafty cocktails, fun conversation with the locals, and excellent service. Milton’s smoked old fashioned and friendly Texas service are second to none.
