The bad, I liked the theme inside but you would think an establishment that has been around since 1988 to maybe freshen up the place, a little paint and minor renovations wouldn’t hurt, the bathrooms seemed old and outdated, and dirty too. But overall I’d visit again.”

“Food is usually good. I went in for like 5 days straight because they're open 24 hours and I work nights. They're usually very friendly and the place is super clean. The only problem I have is I have specifically asked for no bacon.. and every one of the 5 times I went in I found bacon in my taco/bowl... so I'm sure to check it now when I leave. I really enjoy the younger girl who works in the lobby/running orders out, and the younger black guy who is usually the cashier. They're always super nice.”

“This place is a hit or miss. Had completely give up on subway but decided to go back 3/10. The girl who helped us was amazing. She's actually the reason I decided to start eating here again. That being said the next time we went was HORRIBLE. I'm not sure if they have a high turn overs or just bad training. The guy had an attitude and had no idea what he was doing. We asked for black Forrest ham, he didn't know where it was and when he asked the other girl there she said it's ham. She then proceeds to tell us 'we just call it ham' ???? terrible all the way around. Girl who came in late to take over making our subs saved our meal. Staff needs better training.”

“One of the cleanest FGs I've been to, and the staff are usually pretty efficient. Have to knock off one star because the fries are 50/50 on whether they'll come out right, so I usually just grab some peanuts if I even want a side for my massive burger. Sometimes the fries will be cooked perfectly and other times way too soggy. Wish they stayed open later, but overall, not a bad place to get a high price high quality Burger. Definitely try yours with relish and A1 sauce, my favorite. Oh, only ever tried the shakes once, came out too thin for too much price.”

“The BEST fried chicken in San Marcos. Eat local and go to Gill's. The chicken is served super hot. I have never had a bad experience here. In college this was the go to for delicious, affordable chicken and a biscuit. The sides here are excellent. My favorite side is the fried okra and the fries are great too. I also like that they have honey and butter available for you. Just thinking of Gill's makes my mouth water. This is a must if you are in San Marcos!”

“I like this place. You can sample all the balsamic vinegars and some of the olive oils. The only thing they were out of some of the balsamic vinegars that I most liked. Beautiful countryside and will be beautiful come spring to do a tour when the olive trees are in bloom. Very helpful and friendly employees.
