Golden Chick

Very good fried comfort food. Fries and okra were cooked right. Not soggy but not overcooked. Ambience is good. They are a bit pricier than other places nearby, but they beat them in quality hands down. Portion sizes are spot on and service was good, if not green from being a new restaurant. Overall was very happy and would go back again.

We have been several times and have been very happy on each visit. I noticed the comments about being a little pricey and I can’t disagree but it is so delicious, I recommend it to anyone and definitely will be going back - regularly! A hint: be sure to get the little side of fried shrimp (3 small butterflied shrimp) it is fantastic.

My husband and I have already enjoyed the food at this Golden Chick since they opened, but the service I received today at the Gun Barrel location was wonderful! The staff member I encountered was extremely kind and friendly. She was patient with me when I asked several questions about the menu. The staff was very generous with the sauces and the food was great. They definitely exceeded my expectations!

Staff needs alittle work, but I understand because it was very busy and everyone just started. I really enjoyed the tenders and mashed potatoes. I am a big fried chicken fan, and Golden Chick is one of my favorite establishments. My food came basically as soon as I ordered it. :)
