Would definitely recommend to try this place at least once. This is what we ordered and it was really good. Red and green salsa were perfect. They served chips with black beans and red salsa will you wait to order. Excellent service and food came out pretty fast. Came in at 9am. Will go back to try out more plates for sure.
We stumbled across this place by chance. I can't believe we were missing out on the best Mexican Food I have ever tasted in the Valley. On top of that the staff was very attentive. We had the best waiter ever. Our drinks never ran dry. Prices were quite reasonable and it had a wonderful atmosphere. It was our first time here but it definitely won't be the last. Keep up the great work!!! I would give El Porton 10 stars if I could!!!
It was not too busy for lunch which worked in my favor. I ordered the “Bistec Ranchero”, I would have included a picture of it when it came in I took a bite and after that bite I did not stopped. If that is not an indication of how good it was I don’t know what is. Their lemonade was delicious, the flower tortillas were good and the chip and dips were also good.
Let's start by saying the place looks really nice inside, we liked the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff(server, cashier etc.)
The huevos rancheros were delicious, for $5.95 you get 2 eggs, fried tortillas, bacon, refried beans and potatoes.
The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium, the salsa for the eggs was delicious, the fries corn yellow tortilla under the eggs was tasty, the bacon was thin but tasty, the refried beans are delicious, the potatoes are cooked to order but kinda bland, they could use some seasoning.
The coffee here is amazing.
The bistec ranchero was tasty, the salsa was delicious also the rice was cooked perfectly.the salsas with chips they gave us did have a great taste to them.
The frijoles charros had a good taste but could use some more something, like adding bacon, cueritos or wienies.
The tacos could use a bit more meat(including barbacoa) in them, some of our tacos had an okay amount while others not so much, the meat did have a good taste to them, but we all felt they were lacking in meat.
Overall i highly recommend this place now that they have breakfast options.
Delicious Mexican Omelettes. Place is clean, staff is attentive, will definitely go back!
