Lou's Brunch and Brews

Went there for the first time today with my coworkers… everything was AMAZING. They have live music on the weekends and I’m usually not a fan of live music indoors (especially during brunch) since it could make it hard to hear the person you’re with, but the live music was so perfect! Definitely found my Sunday brunch spot!❤️
P.S. I usually never really take pictures of my food but what I ordered was just so perfectly presented and cute that I did!

We came across this gem of a restaurant by chance and felt it was worth a try. My partner ordered the carnita biscuits and gravy and was quite pleased. I ordered the chicken and waffles and absolutely loved the chicken. My only complaint was my waffle was a little cold. It was good, but it would’ve been great if it had been warm. The owner told us the chefs make everything from scratch and it was definitely apparent by the quality of the food. We were also fortunate enough to be dining while a musician played live music on a Saturday afternoon. Overall, this meal was a great experience and we will likely be brunching here again.

This new place in town is absolutely delicious!! They hired an excellent chef or cooks, because every single plate we ordered was mouth-watering. The place itself and decor is not particularly special. The atmosphere could be greatly improved, but I 100% recommend the food. The service was great as well. It is easily some of the best brunch in the RGV. Stand-out dishes were the biscuits and gravy and pancakes. I need to go back soon.

Small spot with tasty brunch. A brunch charcuterie board? Chicken and waffles? An authentic Juicy Lucy in McAllen? Biscuits and Carnitas were a hit! BLT was solid and the Eggs Benedict was perfectly balanced. Food was delicious and served hot, excited to see it grow out of the small area it’s in.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was so delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked and the presentation was beautiful, you can tell the chef cares about each plate they make. The service was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. 10/10 I definitely recommend it and I’ll be coming back.
