Taqueria No. 39

Food is good! Place is clean. Went inside. Gave me beans, which was nice. No chips though, like most places.

The food is good. No problem in the dining area. Very clean. Only thing I didn't like was that the lady charges for wanting a to go cup or a to go box. Then she has the audacity to say that there's a tip jar. Seriously.

Excellent food ! I thought a bit pricey but after the food arrived and the service given it was well worth the price! If you don't try this restaurant you're truly missing out!

the place was amazingly decorated with random canvases and big tvs
i think they should have two gum ball machines. one is not enough
2 drinks are out of service. i couldn’t get my favorite kool aid flavor
the tacos are too small

I had a quick bite to eat at Taqueria 39 on 495 and Taylor road in Mission. It's a small taqueria, ( then again most are) with a modern vibe. Nice artworks, hanging lights, and practical seating. I ordered Trumpo tacos and a diet coke. Once I ordered and sat down a selection of salsas were brought to the table, as well as, a cup of beans. I was told the Habenero and pineapple salsa is only served on the weekend, It was one of the best salsas I've had in some time, It was really good. My tacos arrived along with the baked potato I ordered, my potato was cold, not even warm, but it was replaced by a steaming one. The tacos had tender pork on soft corn tortillas, were well seasoned, and came with grilled onions. The Tacos were pretty good. I wish they were the traditional six tacos normally served in the RGV, but only four on the plate. I really liked the place and I want to bring my wife to eat here, she loves tacos.
