A really cool little cafe next to a small convenience store where there is nothing else. The outside does not do it justice. It was very nice and well appointed inside and there is a flat screen.I was camping at Plowman Creek looking for a place to get breakfast. There's literally nothing for miles. Wanting take-out I pulled in and ordered two breakfast burritos. Let me tell you those breakfast burritos were wonderful, tasty and huge. The staff was nice and accommodating I would have stayed if I wasn't in a hurry to get back. I will be back this place is awesome and it's in the middle of nowhere. You're headed away from Cleburne and Rio Vista it's on your right before bridge and if you're heading towards Cleburne it's on your left after the Kimbell Bend bridge don't blink you might miss it.
I stopped here by chance, and had the best burger I've ever had in my life. I've been to many places and I typically know what I'm going to like after looking at the menu. Their firehouse burger is incredible! Side note: the chili for the loaded fries is pretty greasy, but otherwise it was an amazing experience. Definitely stop by here and try their firehouse burger, you won't regret it!
I had two meals there this weekend. Chicken fried steak with fried squash and salad. Pot roast with potatoes and carrots. Both were very tasty. Jalapeno cheddar biscuits were excellent! M&M Country Kitchen is being run by a very nice young couple and the service was excellent. Good country cooking! Give them a try if you have a chance. About a mile north of Kimball Bend Park.
