Don Melquias Mexican Restaurant

Just had lunch there and the chicken enchiladas with salsa verdi was delicious. The service was good and fast. Will be going back soon. The employees were very friendly.

As with almost all Mexican restaurants, we were served salsa and chips. The chips were above par and the salsa pleasing to this gringo tongue ( which means too bland for most Mexican food aficionados). The big thing we noticed was the amount of chips was perfect not the gargantuan bowl that the chains push on you. You know enough for 4 people but if 4 are at the table then there are at least 2 bowls of chips.
I enjoyed the 2 tostadas although they were a little greasy but very authentic Tex-Mex. My dinner companion had the stacked enchiladas -layers of tortillas with meat, cheese and other stuff in between. She was only mildly impressed.
Overall, this is a clean, friendly establishment with comfort food not gormay cuisine and fair price for good proportions.

Enchiladas,beef or chicken are very good. You need to try their street tacos, It's all good.

Excellent food and wait staff, however I can't give it 5 stars due to the fact that there were not any options for vegans. We were with non-vegans and they loved their food, but we couldn't even eat the beans. Most mexican food restaurants offer black beans with no meat in them these days but that wasn't an option here. We live very close by, and there are quite a few vegans in our community, so I highly recommend that some options be added, as it would bring us in again and again!
