Definitely worth visiting if you will be in Granbury for a while. The food is good but a little too heavy. It's a perfect place to take your family and the service is very good. I gave it a 4 stars because it's just too much food and wish it would be more quality.
If you LOVE eating chicken, this is the place for you! No other meat is served here, only CHICKEN. This is a nice restaurant to take a family. All- you-can eat sides taste like they are homemade. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
Any type of chicken you can think of you can get served to you at Babes Chicken. Granbury was a nice little town and was happy to see a Babes Chicken. We had chicken strips and fried fish. I really enjoy the sides especially the corn. The gravy for the mashed potatoes had a big flour taste, but was tolerable.
I love Babe's! The fried chicken is the very best! I love the "all you can eat" side dishes, with their own twist on wonderful salad, green beans, corn, potatoes and biscuits. This is one of my favorite places for fried chicken! They are pretty pricey, but, oh so good for sit down comfy food! You have to, at least try it. I know you'll love it, too!
Hillbilly redneck slice of heaven, with old fashion down home southern comfort food, like my Granny made! They set plate of meat and then bowls of sides, in center of table, then it's serve yourself and each other style. Something about "pass the mash potatoes and gravy please" brings family and friends closer. Reminds me of a simpler time, almost lost and forgotten. Excellent waitress, with great manners. Occasionally a waitress will pick up the microphone and break out in song (all very good day we went), or several waitresses will start line dancing (the dancers loved it when, some kids, left their tables and joined in)
